Task

Create a 3D model of a cake that can be used in an app icon for a macOS application.

<aside> 💡 It is not necessary to design the application icon. I just need the model and some nice-looking renders of it, so that I can place the cake inside the application icon.

But of course I don’t mind either, if you have some ideas for the final icon, but this is not the important thing of in this task. 🙂

Requirements

• Should look good at low and high resolutions: The application icon is typically displayed at sizes between 30px/30px and 512px/512px. The level of detail should be designed accordingly. The icon should look good at 512px/512px sizes, as well as 30px/30px sizes
• Please supply high quality PNG-renders at the following resolutions:
  • 2048x2048
  • 1024x1024
  • 512x512
  • 256x256
  • 128x128
• Please supply renders at multiple angles
• Please make sure that all renders have a transparent background

About the App

Cakedesk is a macOS application for freelancers. It helps them manage their clients, create invoices, proposals and contracts.

I like this kind of dough. With some cream in the middle. Not sure if the icing has to be purple/pink, but I like it when it drips! 😋

Maybe the cake could be in the shape of an app icon. This would be kind of cool but also it might be hard to recognize the object as a cake.

Really, really cute. Maybe a liiiiiittle bit too child-like, but I really like this direction. These look like they have a good amount of detail, although they look a little flat and for my taste the icing could be dripping more. :)
